New Web Site Founding Supporter Program

I have presented to the MFTHBA Board of Director’s a proposal to design a new website to address the current and future needs of the Association. The Board rejected my first proposal based solely on the cost of the project ($20,000.00) The Board is unanimously in favor of the website but have asked me to look for other sources of revenue to support this critical project.
Some of the major benefits of the proposed new web site:
Online membership renewals by credit card, including one day free usage of the online pedigree database, free classified advertising and much improved graphic designs and calendars of events.
Discussion forums on such subjects as training, tack, shoeing, etc, specifically related to the fox trotter, and online shopping by credit card, including merchandise and DNA kits.
Search engine optimization to get our site listed up front for people looking for gaited horses.
In order to avoid the considerable expense of writing to the entire membership, I am asking via this web site and an initial letter written to a small group of members for a donation of $500 or more as a founding web site supporter. It would be a terrific boost to the Association if we could raise some or all monies necessary through donor contribution. Therefore, we would very much appreciate your passing this information on to other members of the Association. A link to the Founding Supporter Pledge form can be found at the bottom of this web page.
As an acknowledgement of your gift and in appreciation of your generous support, we will provide each of you with the following benefits: Each $500.00 donor will receive a special listing on our website as a "Silver Level Contributor", which will include a business card sized ad on the site and add a link to your website. If you do not have a website, we can link to your email address. Your special listing will be for a period of five years.
If you make a contribution of $1000 or more we will list you as a "Gold Level Contributor" on our website, provide a quarter page ad on the site and add a link to your website. If you do not have a website, we can create a full page ad for you on our web site and link to your email address. In addition, we will also send you a Montana Silversmith Easy Rider horse bronze sculpture. Your special listing will be for a period of five years.

The future for our horse and Association looks very good if we can develop a truly professional web site that will attract new major corporate breed sponsors, provide additional benefits to our membership and get the attention of persons interested in purchasing a smooth riding gaited horse.
