National Trail Ride Award Program The MFTHBA Trail Ride Committee's primary purpose is to promote the Missouri Fox Trotting horse as the ideal trail horse, and, secondly, to promote and encourage organized trail rides of all types and trail riding in general. One way to accomplish these goals is to sanction National MFTHBA sponsored trail rides. The objective with the National Trail Rides is to make these unique and special to attract riders outside the area sponsoring the ride. Criteria for National Trail Rides
